How to see your YouTube Recap
YouTube doesn’t yet offer a full Recap with all your viewing stats. There’s a companion tool for YouTube, TubeWrapped, that shows your activity in clear numbers, month by month and week by week: hours watched, number of videos, favorite channels, records and much more. To use it, install the extension for free on a desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave or Opera). You can also compare your stats with your friends’ and share your recap.
What exactly is a YouTube Recap?
It’s a look back: the moment you rewind to see what your year on YouTube really looked like. Not a list of videos, but a story told in a few strong numbers.
The numbers that make up your recap
- Your time on YouTubeHow many hours in total, and what an average day looks like.
- Your videosHow many videos you actually watched over the period.
- Your channelsHow many creators you followed and which ones come out on top.
- Your momentsThe days and hours you spend the most time on YouTube.
- Your recordsYour longest run of days and your busiest day.
- And more numbersYour share of Shorts, your viewer profile and plenty of small surprises.
Every number is compared with the month or year before, so you instantly see whether you watched more or less.
Compare your recap with your friends
A recap is even better with others. On TubeWrapped you create your profile and find your friends to compare your years.
- Find your friends with the username search.
- Open their recap to see who spent the most time on YouTube.
- Post your recap card on Instagram, TikTok or anywhere else.
- Stay in control: your profile can stay private if you prefer.
